TUESDAY 1-3 -14.64 UNITS

Here are the early games right now, I'm still working on the rest of the games. I will have a 20 play (20 plays are 4-1 on the season) that tips off at 8:00 posted shortly. I hope that you all are having a great season as well.

St. Joseph's -21 (LOST 72-54) -7.49 UNITS

Who's going to stop St. Joe's??? The Hawks (Road: 12-0 SU, 7-3 ATS) continue to rack up wins and remain undefeated after Jameer Nelson scored 20 points and Pat Carroll had a pair of 3-pointers to key an early second-half run as third-ranked Saint Joseph's pulled away for a 73-59 A-10 victory over Rhode Island Saturday. The Hawks (22-0, 11-0 A-10 East) moved within five wins of a perfect regular season. Delonte West and Tyrone Barley each scored 14 points for the Hawks. Fordham (H: 3-6 SU, 1-5 ATS) lost the first game badly to St. Joe's, 79-35, and have an 8-game losing streak. Wins have been easy to come by for the Hawks who haven't been threatened lately. Fordham is seriously undermanned here, and the wins will keep on coming for the Hawks.

5 Units Xavier -5 (WON 78-68) +5.00 UNITS

Xavier (R: 3-7 SU, ATS) capitalized on poor Massachusetts shooting to earn its fourth consecutive win, 64-44, over the Minutemen. Freshman Justin Cage and Aaron Myles each scored 12 points for Xavier and Justin Doellman added 11 points and Lionel Chalmers had 10. Gary Neal scored 30 and Steven Smith had 26 to lead La Salle to an 89-78 win over St. Bonaventure on Saturday. La Salle (H: 11-2 SU, 5-6 ATS) shot 68 percent from the floor (19 of 28) in the first half while St. Bonaventure shot only 38 percent (14 of 37). For the game LaSalle shot 62 percent; St. Bonaventure shot 43 percent. Smith had 12 rebounds for La Salle. Xavier destroyed LaSalle 84-45 four weeks ago and is on a four game winning streak. Xavier's convincing win in the first game tilts the scale in their favor for the rematch.

3 Units Tulane +9.5 (LOST -3.03 UNITS)

A bit too little too late but Tulane (R: 0-6 SU, 2-4 ATS; 3-7 C-USA) after a league 7 game losing streak, has won three straight following a 67-66 win over TCU on Saturday. Quincy Davis led the Wave with 14 points (6-of-6 shooting) and nine rebounds. Wayne Tinsley had 10 as Tulane trailed by as many as 16 points in the game and 15 in the second half. TCU led 33-24 at halftime. East Carolina (H: 7-5 SU, 1-4 ATS) is on a 1-11 SU run after losing 72-68 to Alabama-Birmingham Saturday. Belton Rivers scored 26 points to lead East Carolina. Mike Cook added 11 points and Erroyl Bing had 10 for the Pirates. Neither team is an offensive jaugernaut but EC is at home aginst a Tulane squad which is terrible on the road.

Wichita State +1 (LOST 80-85) -3.39 UNITS

Battle of the frontcourts in the Missouri Valley Conference. These teams are very strong defensively, so don't look for a lot of points: Wichita holds teams to 38% shooting, while Northern Iowa allows 42%. Red-hot Wichita is riding a 7-1 SU/ATS run the last eight games. The Wichita State Shockers (17-7 SU, 15-5 ATS) shoot 47% from the field while holding opponents to 38% shooting, led by junior guard Randy Burns, junior 6’-5” Jamar Howard (14 ppg, 6 rpg) and a huge frontcourt of 6’-8” junior Rob Kampman (9 ppg, 5 rpg) and 6’-10”, 250-lb sophomore C Paul Miller (6 rpg). Wichita is a remarkable 8-3 SU/8-2 ATS on the road! They outscore foes by a 70-61 average on the road. The Northern Iowa Panthers (13-9 SU, 11-9 ATS) have a strong front line behind 6’-6” senior C David Gruber (12 ppg, 7 rpg) and 6’-7”, 240-lb senior Matt Schneiderman (11 ppg, 7 rpg). They also have three-point specialist 6’-3” sophomore Ben Jacobson (13 ppg) in the backcourt. Northern Iowa his 11-3 SU/6-6 ATS at home and this is a revenge spot, as last month Wichita won 82-65 at home over Northern Iowa! Still, the visitors are on a roll and playing awesome ball on the road.

Like 3 out of 4 with a no play on Xavier, looks too much like a trap. Let's put the women and children to bed and go looking for dinner. Best of luck.

Units Nebraska -7 (LOST 63-58) -10.10 UNITS

With a 2-6 mark at the halfway point of the Big 12 season, Kansas State (R: 0-8 SU, 3-3 ATS) isn't threatening to jump into the top half of the conference chase. Saturday, Kansas State surged back from 13 points down to trail by three at halftime before losing to Texas Tech 82-71. Tim Ellis also scored 20 points and Marques Hayden added 10 for the Wildcats. The loss continued the Wildcats' road woes. They haven't won on the road in eight games this season and have dropped 16 straight away from home. Nebraska's Andrew Drevo, John Turek and Nate Johnson each scored 14 points as Nebraska (14-7, 4-6) won its third straight and beat Kansas over the weekend. The Huskers made 13 of their first 19 shots in the second half while taking a 58-40 lead. Kansas, meanwhile, made only five of its first 17 shots after halftime. Kansas State won the first meeting but the Ka-State road numbers are atrocious. Nebraska is holding on to a three game winning streak and shooting real well.

Illinois Chicago -2.5 (WON 63-55) +7.00 UNITS

This game pits the No. 2 and 3 teams in the Horizon League. These teams have much better offenses than defenses, and the last three meetings the winning team has tallied 78, 81 and 74 points. The Illinois Chicago Flames (18-7) have great guard play from 6’-3” senior Cedric Banks (19 ppg) and Martell Bailey (8.7 assists pg), and good role players under the glass in 6’-4” senior Aaron Carr (11 ppg) and 6’-5” senior Armond Williams (12 ppg, 6 rpg). Ill-Chicago has been a strong road team (7-4 SU, 4-4 ATS) and they average 67.5 ppg on the road while allowing only 62.8 ppg, and as a team they shoot 46%. Green Bay is 10-1 SU/4-3 ATS at home where they outscore opponents by a 69-62 average. The Wisconsin Green Bay Phoenix (16-7 SU, 11-6 ATS) have good offensive balance with 6’-0” guard junior Brandon Morris (11 ppg, 48% FGs, 5 rpg) and 6'-2" junior Matt Rhode (10 ppg) running the break, while 6’-8” senior Mike King (10 ppg, 4 rpg) works the boards. These teams met last month and Green Bay won 74-57 at home. Look for a closer game and a lot of points.

LSU -6 (LOST 68-80) -5.45 UNITS

LSU got an enormous win last Saturday, beating Florida 73-70 at Florida SU. That is certainly a quality win. Now LSU returns Home and gets the Road-pathetic Auburn Tigers (12-9 SU, 7-11 ATS). Auburn is coming off another Road loss to Ole Miss, 72-68 SU. Auburn still has the big doughnut on the Road (0-6 SU). Auburn is only scoring a shameful 57 points a game on the Road, while allowing 71 points. Maybe they should switch to Motel Six. Anyway, LSU scores a strong 73 points a game at Home, while allowing just 60. This is why they are 12-1 SU at Home and headed for 13. This flip of scoring between Auburn and LSU spells DOOM for the visitors. Adding Bo Jackson to the line-up won’t overcome this differential. The only concern is that all-everything for LSU, big man Jaime Lloreda (18 ppg, 12 rpg), is hurting (knee) and questionable. Last year, LSU pounded Auburn at Home by 31 points. Could be the same this year.

20 UNITS PLAYS NOW (5-1) ON THE SEASON!!!

IOWA -1 (WON 78-67) +20.00 UNITS

Iowa now 3-7 on the road SU and 4-5 ATS in those game, are only two games behind Wisconsin for the Big-10 lead. In their 69-61 victory over Michigan Saturday, IU's Jeff Horner scored 20 points and Brody Boyd added 14 to lead the Hawkeyes. Iowa outscored Michigan 41-29 in the final 20 minutes. Iowa also shot below its season average but benefited from spreading the scoring around. Glen Worley scored 13 points and Pierre Pierce had 11 as the Hawkeyes shot 38.2 percent for the game, below their season average of 46.3 percent. The season has been even rockier for the Buckeyes (H: 10-5 SU, 4-10 ATS) who have just three conference wins. Saturday they were blown away by defending champ Wisconsin 78-48. J.J. Sullinger netted 14 points to lead Ohio State (11-12, 3-7), which lost for the eighth time in 11 games. The Badgers were 32-of-38 from the free-throw line and the Buckeyes were just 7-of-17. Iowa clobbered the Buckeyes in the first meeting 79-65, expect something similar on Wednesday!!!

Good Luck Tonight,

UAB +3.5 (SU WINNER 80-68) +5.00 UNITS

The Bearcats (R: 6-3 SU, 4-4 ATS) aren't the team they were three weeks ago, before Louisville exposed so many of their weaknesses. In their 91-85 loss to Wake Forest this weekend, Cincinnati converted 12 early turnovers into a 12-point lead before the Demon Deacons switched strategy and made an effort to drive the ball inside. Since the Bearcats had abandoned the press, the layups came easy once Wake Forest began attacking. Tony Bobbitt scored 23 points while Jason Maxiell added 15 points, and James White scored 12 for Cincinnati. Rising in the south, UAB's Mo Finley hit a 12-footer from the baseline against East Carolina and the Blazers (H; 11-2 SU, 7-4 ATS)held on for a 72-69 win on Saturday. For the game, Finley was 4 for 13 from the field and finished with 10 points. No easy pickins for the Bearcats who will have to earn this one against the Blazers who are on a 6-1 SU run with impressive wins over St. Louis and Charlotte!!!

Duke -3.5 (LOST 84-90) -5.50 UNITS

Duke finally got beat in the ACC, losing to NC State on the Road, 78-74 SU. Don’t think for one second that Duke is not steaming mad, especially after they went from 1 to 3 in the national polls. Duke (21-2 SU, 14-8 ATS) now travels to Wake Forest (15-6 SU, 10-10 ATS). Wake is coming off a nice win against ranked Cincinnati, 91-85 SU. Duke dominated the first game at Duke, 84-72 SU. In that game, Duke shut down Wake’s big Eric Williams to just 6 points, well short of his season average of 13 ppg. Wake also shot a miserable 35% from the floor. Meanwhile Duke shot 51%. Duke’s J.J. Redick (17 ppg, 3 rpg) pumped in 23 that night and just gets better and better each game. Wake is a very good team at Home (11-2 SU), averaging 85 points a game. They will put up a good fight against Duke, but Wake’s Williams must step up his obviously sliding game!!!

Good luck tonight my friends,
